How the training works
Capoeira is a Brazilian form of exercise that combines movement, music, balance and coordination. The training is done in a group and is the perfect complement to sports such as tennis and padel, as it develops agility, body control, reaction times and footwork in a playful and inspiring way.
The sessions take place at a gentle and safe pace, led by an experienced instructor. Each session begins and ends with a brief discussion of the day’s programme. Participants learn the basic movements of capoeira and practise using them with others, to music and different rhythms. Everyone has the opportunity to both follow and lead, always in a controlled and safe environment.
Upholstery
The session takes place barefoot in comfortable sportswear that allows for a good range of movement. You can train in your usual sportswear. For safety reasons, please do not wear shoes, socks, jewellery, hoodies or dresses, and long hair must be tied back.
Editorial
The training sessions are led by Ulrika “Professora Cafeína” Palander and Thiago “Professor Mandingueiro” Soares Santos, both of whom have over 20 years’ experience of practising and teaching capoeira.
